Berlin, the Shopper\'s Paradise
Berlin is the number 1 shopping mecca in Germany. With 67 shopping centres and 3,670 clothing shops at present, the capital is far ahead of the other major German cities. And the options keep on growing: Just opened, \"Bikini Berlin \"as , located between Zoo and the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church, is Germany\'s first concept mall. Fashion, lifestyle amenities and beauty are offered over the centre\'s three storeys, together with exclusive restaurants.

Discover Berlin\'s Restaurants
Berlin has really become a gourmet\'s city in recent years. Quality international cuisine and hospitality are at home here. In addition, top chefs such as Tim Raue have set up their restaurants here and offer haute cuisine at relatively low prices. And the city\'s many atmospheric pubs offer typical regional specialties such as pork knuckle and beef roulades.

On Stage
Stages in unlikely places
Opera in the car park? Concert on a construction site? Mozart at the vaudeville theatre? In Berlin, almost anywhere can become a stage. In the coming season, many artists will be bringing their audiences to unusual venues. Just because the Staatsoper is currently undergoing renovation isn\'t going to stop the music. In June 2014, three concerts will take place in the construction site.

Insider Tips
... by Caroline Schink (Trainee)
1. District Mot
If I ever need a little break from everyday vile, then I head over to District Mot, which offers fresh Saigon street food in a suitable location. The food invites me to daydream of sitting in a food stall on the streets of Saigon whilst sitting here in Berlin!
2. Freischwimmer
On a hot afternoon after work, I enjoy a refreshing drink in Freischwimmer\'s shady island garden. At the weekends, I like to Berlin from the river and I note that I can rent canoes or motor boats at Freischwimmer, too.
3. Fête de la Musique
For me, an absolute must on 21 June is the Fête de la Musique. Live bands across Berlin invite you to celebrate the beginning of summer. For one day, the artists can be experienced for free throughout the city under the open skies until well after sunset.
